Adoptions
In 2004 we began the process of international adoption from the country of Taiwan.  After some advice from others who have adopted, we ended up adopting from Cathwell Orphanage in Taipei.  Living in Singapore made the process much easier as we were close in proximity to Taiwan and we were able to bring our child home before the official Taiwanese court proceedings were finished.  In August of 2004, God brought into our home Tseng Jing Ying whom we renamed Ella Grace Blumenstock.  She has been an amazing blessing.  Now we look forward to adopting our second girl in the near future.  We are currently on the waiting list at the same orphanage in Taipei.  It has taken nearly 4 years of waiting so far.  Pray with us!
ABTS
Asia Biblical Theological Seminary of Cornerstone University (ABTS) is a joint effort of Cornerstone University in Grand Rapids, MI, and Association of Baptists for World Evangelism headquartered in Harrisburg, PA.  We offer Master of Religious Education (MRE) and Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies (MA) degrees through modular courses.  Each module consists of a 2 week (4 hours a day for 10 days) course with the following 3 months to finish assignments.  Our program has over 200 students and we teach in the Philippines, Thailand, India, Singapore, Myanmar, Papua New Guinea, and South Korea.  Our students include local pastors, Bible teachers, Bible women, missionaries, and lay leaders.

Jim has been teaching with ABTS since 2001.  He teaches Systematic Theology, Christian Worldview, and Historical Theology Survey.  He loves to travel to the many sites and teach Christian leaders from such a wide diversity of backgrounds and cultures.    We are now serving in our third term.
